Photographing in Colorado’s Great Sand Dunes National Park had been on my list for some time. Imagine my surprise when some friends and I arrived there one spring to find the sand covered with snow. It was a most unusual sight.



I photographed the dunes from the porch of the Ranger’s Station, never realizing that I had captured two hikers in my scene. Marvene and I made greeting cards from this photograph.
