Every scene in the swamps of Caddo Lake appeared differently, as the sunlight varied over our five-day photo trip. In this picture, the details of these dramatic giants are easily distinguishable with the bright sidelight of the morning sun. Notice the prominent watermarks on the tree trunks, indicating the rise and fall of the waterlevel in the lake.
