A scenic mountain lake reflects golden autumn trees and evergreens with a rustic wooden bridge crossing the water.

This landmark railroad bridge is located just north of Masonic Park toward Creede, Colorado. Missy’s sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Charlie Warner, were interested in a photo of the bridge. James had requested that the intersection of the hills in the background be placed within the structure of the bridge in my photograph. To get that angle, I crossed over the bridge, down the side of the riverbank, then waded out into the river and got the shot he wanted. Although that intersection is not as prominent in this particular photo, I chose this photo for this album because it showcases the rafters and highlights the vivid contrasting colors. I gingerly dodged a snake swimming close by during my shoot.
