Imagine our surprise when Andy Crawford suddenly let out a “whoop and a holler”. He had been carefully searching for this iconic scene since breakfast in Silverton, Colorado. The Old Miner’s Cabin is visible from the Million Dollar Highway, US Route 550. After Andy made a quick U-turn and pulled into a gravel parking area, we headed down the side of the mountain with camera bags and tripods in hand. It was a beautiful fall day, and the colors were brilliant.
