Godafoss Falls means waterfall of the gods. It marks the site where the pagan idols were thrown into the water to symbolize the Icelanders’ acceptance of Christianity.
My shadow is visible in the lower right-hand corner, but I decided to leave it there in memory of that awesome moment. The rainbow appeared for a minute or so, then moved to the right before fading away. This is one of my favorite photos from our Iceland trip.
