Built in 1888, this iconic landmark appears to sit all alone in the snow-covered forest of Banff, Canada. It is actually surrounded by commercial development which is out of sight from this vantage point, called Surprise Corner Viewpoint. This photograph was taken early one morning when Marvene, Kathy, Freddie and I were staying at the Fairmont celebrating Thanksgiving and Freddie’s tenth birthday in 2023.
