Marvene had wanted to visit this UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE for many years. It was founded as a religious sanctuary in 709 and over the years served as an Abbey, prison, and pilgrimage site. It is a beautiful structure and attracts three million visitors each year. We were both thankful that we got to visit it in the summer of 2022, along with Wayne and Brenda Perry.
